Become a “Christmas Angel” to a local needy child or family by joining the Women’s Auxiliary in granting holiday wishes on the Kid’s Christmas Giving Tree. Starting November 11, 2006 at the American Legion’s Commander’s Ball Dinner Dance, the Women’s Auxiliary will have the names of local little boys and girls Christmas wishes hanging on the Kid’s Christmas Giving Tree. Every year, the Women’s Auxiliary receives names from local churches, schools and Bloomingdale Township of needy children and families along with their Christmas “Wish Lists”. Through the generous donations of Legion Members along with other local organizations, we are able to make Christmas a little brighter for those who are in need. Stop by the American Legion Hall and pick a name off the tree to fulfill the wishes of someone this Holiday Season. Just bring your presents, unwrapped back to the Post by December 12th along with the tag and we will distribute them for you. OR if you just don’t have time to shop and want to help, just make a donation! With a donation check of $25.00 the Auxiliary will put your money to good use by purchasing Gift Certificates at area grocers and department stores to be donated to the Kid’s Christmas Giving Tree.
